"As I have stated throughout this book, many of the qualities required to trade successfully are the same virtues we hope to possess in other facets of our lives: humility, grace, passion, patience, generosity, and discipline." - David Nassar

I lost money trading in 2004 because.....
1. I did not have a good enough trading plan
2. I hadn't put enough work into earning success
3. I did not have enough discipline because I didn't have a plan to have complete faith in.
4. I didn't have a good enough understanding of the emotional intelligence to succeed.

I lost money in 2008, and 2009 because
1.  I sill do not have a trading plan that I have complete faith in.  What I have was trying to recollect my thoughts on what it took to succeed.  I still do not have an understanding of the emotional discipline/intelligence required for complete success.
2.  I kept experimenting with new methodologies, without the required work and discipline training that is vital for success.
3.  I picked up where I left off in 2004, in some ways, because I am scarred by my losses and how I dealt with such losses back then.  I piled on more and hung on and prayed, until it was too much and then I covered everything.  That has nothing to do with success.
4.  I still needed to better understand myself.

2012
1.  I have a complete trading plan that has been tested for over 12 years.   It works very well every year on both dimensions of percentage and winners per trade vs losers per trade.
2.  In all my past failures, I did not have absolute rules to follow (position size or time constraint) or I broke my rules once the stock starts to move.  I am conditioning in "absolute discipline to my trading plan".  That will be my only definition of success.  I will never break a trading rule.
3.  My main focus this year will be to spot better entries, and to be absolute discipline to my trading rules.
4.  I am finding joy in every moment and everything I do.

I was asking myself recently why do I wake up in the morning, exercise and meditate.  It surely is not for something as shallow as wanting to look good, is it?

I finally found my answer.  It is to remind myself that we all have to push ourselves every day.  By doing it in the morning, I remind myself of that very early each day.  Hopefully, it will translate to the rest of the day.

Thank you to all my mentors and friends that have came into my life, and helped me understand my life better.

Thank you to:

Tony Robbins - You started me on my journey to healing and growth
Deepak Chopra - You allowed me to understand that its not a human journey, but a spiritual one, much more than we could understand or comprehend.
Wayne Dyer - You allowed me to understand the idea of an infinite intelligence.
Mark Miniverni - You taught me how to trade.  The lesson was longer than I wanted, because I carried too much pain from my past, but you taught me how to trade.

It is said that your most formidable foe in trading is "Emotions"

If I am absolute discipline to my Trading Plan, I will be rid of this most formidable foe.  There's no room for emotions to make a decision.

Markets can only do three things.  Go up, down, or sideways.

Thank you Toni for clarify and reaffirming that desire results could be the death of Trading Principles.

The desire will be so strong that it overrides winning trades and losing trades as well.  The only way to get around this is to apply my Trading Principles everyday, regardless of results.

This is especially true, if a Trader is looking to make some money before heading off to do something else.  The need to make $500 will destroy potentially 5 times that in Capital.  The desire to make that money will create entries into useless patterns that will result in losses immediately.  And then to correct that, the trader will double up the position, turn into a swing trade, put up more money, write options against the position, turn it into an intermediate trade of up to 10 days.

This is why I lost so much right before going to up Bao and her Cousin.  I was hoping to make some money before leaving to run the errand.

Thank you Toni for clarifying my experience, and strengthening my resolve to apply my trading principles no matter what happens.

Trending Patterns like S1, S2 and P2 works without going against Resistance or Support.

Support or Resistance, like CH & Double Bottom.

Some of the things I hope to gain this year:

A much better understanding of myself and how to execute my methodology to the best of my ability

One of the enemies of my current strategy will be time.  However, it will not always be there in the future as my strategy shifts to equity, away from options.

Let a man who has to make his fortune in life remember this maxim: Attacking is the only secret. Dare and the world yields, or if it beats you sometimes, dare it again and you will succeed.
