Amber Alert: Pregnant girl, 16, missing; suspect charged

Pregnant Wisconsin Girl, 16, Reported Missing Believed to Be with 40-Year-Old Father of Her Baby, Police Say

Dodge County prosecutors have charged a 40-year-old Arkansas man at the center of a Wisconsin Amber Alert.

Beaver Dam police believe pregnant 16-year-old Sophia Franklin is with the 40-year-old father of her unborn baby, Gary Day. Franklin was last seen at her home near 4th and Beaver streets in Beaver Dam Sunday evening. Day was last spotted in the same area Monday morning. The two have a no-contact order.

Day is now charged with two counts of child abduction and two counts of child enticement.

"Our goal is to find them in the area, hopefully, or before they go too far away from the area they last went missing," Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger told WISN 12 News Tuesday.

Franklin is 186 pounds and 5 feet, 9 inches, with brown hair and blue eyes. Day is 165 pounds and 5 feet, 7 inches, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Their whereabouts are unknown, but police believe the two are traveling in a black Buick LaCrosse. Late Tuesday, police updated the Amber Alert saying Day switched out Arkansas plates for Pennsylvania plates. The Pennsylvania license plate is KGW5186.

Right now, it is unclear how the two met or where they are heading, but Day has ties to Arkansas and Chief Kreuziger wants law enforcement in the southern state to be on alert.

"We have several agencies actually that we're working with in Arkansas," the police chief said.

back in the late 90s, I remember a case of "bride napping"....They got the whole Hmong village to "pob xoo and sha laj" Ultimately, the elders decided not to call the cops, but the sister of the girl who was bridenapped went ape shit beast mode. Hitting everyone, yelling, screaming, etc....me and my friend, hid under the bed and didn't get out until it was all quiet for at least an hour. LMAO That girl and the guy who "bridenapped" her are still together and they have 10 kids. LOL

I remember there was a case like that in WI in the early 90s... A Hmong guy tried to bridenap a girl but the people stopped him and the cops were called. I think he got arrested... not really sure what happened to him.

Different scenario and irrelevant.  ;D

Are you sure the Hmong guy is the father of that victim he kidnap? Or he just a random guy going around kidnapping some random girl?
