Not that I fan of Trump, but Trump is a lion.

Ray Dalio's Five Big Forces that drive economic and market cycle:

1. The Debt & Credit Cycle
2. Money & Inflation
3. Internal Conflict (Wealth & Values Gap)
4. External Conflict (Geopolitics & War)
5. Acts of Nature (Shocks)

Long-term debt cycles: Up to 80 years (give or take 25 years)
Short-term debt cycles: 3-6 years

An amazing love story is a love story because we do not get the other person to be in our life, and therefore they live in our hearts for our entire life. If we married them and go through all the bickering of life with that person, then then the love story dies in our life's bickering. The bickering stays in our hearts, and that is what we believe we have.  ;D

'About you' - The 1975

I know a place
It's somewhere I go when I need to remember your face
We get married in our heads
Something to do while we try to recall how we met
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
You and I (don't let go), we're alive (don't let go)
With nothing to do, I could lay and just look in your eyes
Wait (don't let go) and pretend (don't let go)
Hold on and hope that we'll find our way back in the end (in the end)
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
And there was something 'bout you that now I can't remember
It's the same damn thing that made my heart surrender
And I miss you on a train, I miss you in the morning
I never know what to think about
I think about you (so don't let go)
About you (so don't let go)

Do you think I have forgotten about you? (Don't let go)
About you
About you
Do you think I have forgotten about you? (Don't let go)

The Need to be Right

While having dinner with my daughter the other day. We were having a disagreement regarding her actions to not share her alcohol with my drunken cousin. She quickly seem to retaliate using something I said a long time ago to another person in another situation involving the same person. She then made it about herself and how would I react if she was involved with a drunk like that.  After the de-escalation, I realized some points in an argument:

1. The need to be right will make things worse. We all want to be right.
2. Pointing out someone's incorrect actions will result in escalation or retaliation.
3. In every single disagreement, to resolve the emotional complication, we should always aim for the betterment of all involved, or better yet, for their betterment. Do not aim to be right, because that will make the other person wrong. Then they will go nuts.

We bicker so much about everything, fight for this and that, or held life-long grudges against loved ones, and in the end it means nothing.

“When you bury my body, don’t build any momentum and keep my hands outside so that the world knows that the person who won the whole world had nothing in his hand while dying.”
― Alexander the Great

The Three Wishes of Alexander the Great for his funeral:

Doctors Carry Coffin: A lesson that even the most skilled physicians cannot conquer death, showing its inevitability.

Scatter Treasures: To demonstrate that earthly riches are meaningless at death and stay behind, a futile pursuit.

Hands Out of Coffin: A powerful visual that everyone, regardless of conquest or wealth, arrives and departs the world with nothing.

Such powerful and enlightening perceptions into the meaning of life. No wonder he conquered half the world by the age of 29.

I had a busy schedule this past couple of weeks. I always felt as if I was rushing and rushing to get things done.

Then yesterday, it finally occurred to me that things will never get done because with the completion of each task comes new ones. Rushing puts pressure on the task and it gets done in a way which we are not happy doing it and also has the potential to create errors and problems.

Thus, going forward, I will take on tasks that I can do in a relax manner. So, I will do it well and I will be happy doing it.

Accuracy is more important than speed, and safety is more important than accuracy. Underneath it all is Happiness to do it.

Growing up, I went through life like everyone else. Sometimes, you have deep or abstract thoughts regarding certain matters pertaining the meaning of life. I never thought much about the importance of history and its characters until I read Candid by Voltaire for a high school class.

It finally made me aware that a long time ago there were others who came into this world and they too wonder about the meaning of life. They share their interpretation s of life with me in the writings they left behind, for others to come and for me.

If I keep complaining and blaming others for my situation, I will never set out to improve myself to better my life's journey going forward. I will be content to play the victim, or stay in a learned helplessness mindset, and then I will find all the reasons to stay where I am, because I will tell myself that it is not my fault and responsibility to improve.

The 7 Brutal Stoic Laws That'll kill your Negative Thinking

1. You are not your thoughts.  "You are they sky and your thoughts are clouds."
2. Stop arguing with reality.
3. Don't trust your first emotion.
4. The stories you tell yourself are creating the pain.
5. Your environment feeds your inner dialogue.
6. You're tired, not broken.
7. Gratitude kills negativity. "I am stronger than my negative thoughts."

Before I ever got onto a stage, I look at it and I think that I would be able to go up there and start to say anything like some of the MC at the time. Then one day after a party and there's no one there, I got my chance to go to a microphone and my mind went blank. My heart felt the fear due to the emptiness within and nothing was coming out. This is when there was no one there to look at me or laugh at me.

Everything that is done well in life takes practice and overcoming internal obstacles. This requires work, practice, and focus. It requires understanding why you want to do it, which requires a love for what it is that you want to do so that it makes sense to your heart.
